Over the weekend we traveled to Waterbury, Connecticut to attend an open bar the marriage of two of our closest friends.

Our journey began in Chicago, the armpit of the airport universe.

Mama and Babycakes were as cute as they always are.

J found yet another excuse to do homework.

Something in the brisk Connecticut air prompted Mama to kick into planning mode.
Following a magnificently executed strategery session, we discovered that it was time for the rehearsal dinner. Ballots were cast. Decisions were made.

Dinner was at Bacco's where the groom ate pizza many moons ago when girls were icky.

The kids did what kids do best.
We ate. We laughed. And, despite our best efforts to keep it corked, we all cried.

Soon-To-Be Mrs. F. was the first to let it flow.

Mr. F. also turned on the waterworks.

Later that night, I felt the all too familiar foot fetish urge.

Mama and daughter decided to howl at the moon in the most tech friendly way - via Internet webcam.
The next morning it was time for action. The Crew woke up with coffee and the ubiquitous Continental Breakfast prior to rushing out the door in a fit of wedding day frenzy.

Mama hit the street in silk and Ol' Dad geared up in Italian wool.

We weren't the only ones that looked good. It's a shocker, I know ;)

Babycakes was a flower girl. Responsibility is a heavy responsibility.

After the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. F made a Sinatra style entrance into the reception hall.

Babycakes seemed to be conjuring up some grand ideas as she watched the newlyweds make their entrance :)

Swan symbolism was set to maximum strength.

Meanwhile, Ol' Dad did what he does best. J watched in awe.
Concurrent with the newlywed festivities, Mama and Ol' Dad celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary! DJ cued up our song, Have I Told You Lately, by Van Morrison.

Ol' Dad and Mama reflected on the past fifteen years.

We even started making some plans for the immediate future ;)

Psst... everyone's staring at us!
Then it was time for the reception to get rolling, full-on Fusco style!

What wedding would be complete without cake being shoved up someone's nose?

Much to everyone's surprise, the honeymoon began a bit early.

Note how the little girls were fighting hardest for the privilege to be next in line. Coincidence or cultural programming at work?

I recall hearing a Mötley Crüe song playing in the background during this one ;)

Meanwhile, at the buttoned down side of the room, two sweet ladies struck a pose.

Okay... so maybe it wasn't that buttoned down after all ;)

Mama and Ol Dad hit the floor. I recall hearing something about a Brick House.

DJ was scratchin' ;) Next up was We Are Family ;)

His lips said no but his eyes said yes ;)

Mama and Babycakes took it down a notch.

After a brief interlude, Babycakes got the party rockin' again!

The end of the evening was signaled by the distribution of H2O.

Everyone packed up while the Bride and Groom prepared to hit the road for Lake Placid.
Thanks to the Bride and Groom for allowing us to share in the joy of their wedding. We wish them a long life of happiness together!

I love this.
Pics are wonderful!!!!!!
